Prohibited & Restricted Items

The following list is not exhaustive. Destination countries impose their own restrictions, and it is the shipper's responsibility to confirm that a consignment may lawfully be carried and imported. Shipments found to contain prohibited goods will be withheld and reported to the relevant authority.

Prohibited — never accepted

• Currency, bullion, negotiable instruments in bearer form
• Firearms, ammunition, explosives and their parts
• Narcotics, controlled substances and drug paraphernalia
• Flammable liquids, compressed gases and corrosives
• Live animals, human remains and biological samples
• Counterfeit goods and items infringing intellectual property
• Pornographic and blasphemous material
• Perishable foodstuffs without prior written agreement

Restricted — accepted with documentation

• Lithium batteries — declaration and compliant packaging required
• Pharmaceuticals — prescription and licence documentation required
• Jewellery and precious stones — declared value and insurance required
• Alcohol and tobacco — subject to destination-country regulation
• Cosmetics and aerosols — MSDS documentation required

Packaging

Consignments must be packed to withstand normal handling in a sorting network. Fragile goods require internal cushioning and an outer carton with at least 5 cm of clearance on every side. Inadequately packed shipments are carried at the shipper's risk.
