1. Information we collect
To carry a shipment we collect the shipper's and consignee's name, postal address, telephone number and, where provided, email address; a description of the goods; and the commercial terms of carriage. We also record operational data such as scan events, delivery signatures and cash collected.
2. How we use it
- To collect, transport and deliver the consignment;
- To send booking confirmations and tracking updates;
- To collect and remit cash-on-delivery amounts;
- To meet customs, tax and regulatory obligations;
- To investigate claims and resolve service failures.
3. Disclosure
Shipment data is disclosed only to the extent necessary to complete carriage — for example to customs authorities and to delivery personnel handling the consignment. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising purposes.
4. Retention
Shipment records are retained for the period required by tax and customs law, after which they are securely deleted or anonymised. Tracking pages remain accessible for a limited period after delivery.
5. Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored in access-controlled systems. Access is limited to personnel who need it to perform their duties.
6. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by writing to support@desexpress.com. We will respond within thirty days, subject to any legal retention obligation.
